About Coolag

The lightweight tile backer board, more reliable than traditional plasterboard

Coolag is a lightweight tile backer board designed to provide a stable, moisture-resistant surface for tiling in internal applications such as bathrooms, wet rooms and kitchens. It offers a reliable alternative to traditional plasterboard in areas exposed to moisture.

As a lightweight tile backer board, Coolag is easy to handle, cut and install, using a simple score-and-snap method. It is suitable for use on both walls and floors, with thickness selection based on application, and can be mechanically fixed to timber or concrete substrates when installed in accordance with the guidance.

Coolag is moisture and mould resistant but is not a finished waterproof surface. It should be used as part of a complete tiling system, with appropriate waterproofing, adhesives and finishes specified where required by the application.
